Buying & Orders

Browsing and purchasing on Rasa Collective is straightforward. Simply find an artwork you love, click Add to Cart, and proceed to checkout. You’ll need a registered account to complete a purchase — registration is free and takes less than a minute.

At checkout, enter your delivery address and payment details. We accept all major credit and debit cards, processed securely via Stripe. Once payment is confirmed, you’ll receive an order confirmation email with your order reference number.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We do not store your card details on our servers.

All transactions are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). If you are purchasing from outside the UK, your card provider will handle the currency conversion at their prevailing exchange rate.

Yes, you may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it, provided the artwork has not yet been dispatched. To cancel, email us immediately at contactus@rasa-collective.com with your order reference number.

If your order has already been dispatched, you will need to follow our standard returns process once the artwork has been delivered.

Yes. A full invoice is emailed to you automatically upon order confirmation. It includes your itemised purchase details, VAT breakdown where applicable, and order reference number. If you need a VAT invoice for business purposes or require any amendments, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Yes — we work with hotels, offices, interior designers, and cultural institutions to source and acquire artworks in volume. Our institutional team can assist with curated selections, bespoke pricing, phased acquisitions, and art leasing arrangements.

Please reach out to us at contactus@rasa-collective.com with details of your project and we will arrange a consultation.

Most artworks on our platform are unique, one-of-a-kind originals. Once sold, they are not available again unless the artist creates a similar work. If a specific artwork has been sold, you may:

  • Follow the artist on our platform to be notified of new works
  • Contact us to enquire whether the artist takes commissions for similar works
  • Browse other works by the same artist in their portfolio

Yes, many of our represented artists accept commissions. If you have a specific vision — a particular size, colour palette, subject matter, or style — we can connect you with the most suitable artist and facilitate the commission on your behalf.

Please email contactus@rasa-collective.com with your brief and budget, and our curatorial team will come back to you within 3 working days.

Our listed prices reflect the fair market value of each work as agreed with the artist. We generally do not negotiate on individual works. However, for institutional or bulk acquisitions, we may be able to discuss pricing — please contact our team to explore this.

Topic 02

Shipping & Delivery

Delivery times depend on the artwork’s location and your destination. As a general guide:

  • UK delivery: 5–10 working days
  • Europe: 10–18 working days
  • USA, Canada, Australia: 14–21 working days
  • Rest of world: 18–28 working days

These are estimates. Customs processing in certain countries may extend timelines. You will receive a tracking link as soon as your artwork is collected by our logistics partner.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the artwork dimensions, weight, and your delivery address. We use specialist art logistics providers to ensure your artwork arrives safely, which is reflected in the cost.

Shipping quotes are shown clearly before you confirm payment — there are no hidden charges. For very large or fragile works, we may contact you to discuss bespoke shipping arrangements.

Once your artwork has been collected by our logistics partner, you will receive a tracking email with a link to monitor your shipment in real time. If you have not received a tracking email within 5 working days of your order confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact us.

All artworks are packaged to museum-grade standards. Canvases are wrapped in glassine paper, surrounded by foam padding, and placed in custom-built wooden crates or double-walled cardboard boxes depending on size and fragility. Framed works receive additional corner protection. Every package is labelled as fragile and “This Way Up”.

International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes in the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in our shipping fees. We recommend checking your country’s import regulations for original artworks before purchasing.

In many countries, original artworks attract reduced or zero import duty rates — please consult your local customs authority or a freight forwarder for guidance specific to your location.

We are sorry to hear this. Please take photographs of both the packaging and the artwork immediately upon delivery — before disposing of any packaging materials. Then contact us within 48 hours at contactus@rasa-collective.com with your order reference and photos.

We will assess the damage and work with you to arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund as appropriate. Do not return the artwork before contacting us, as we will need to coordinate with our logistics insurer.

Topic 03

Returns & Refunds

We offer a 14-day return window from the date of delivery. If you are not satisfied with your artwork for any reason, you may return it in its original condition and packaging for a full refund of the purchase price.

Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless the artwork is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described. Custom-framed or commissioned works are non-refundable unless faulty.

To initiate a return, email contactus@rasa-collective.com within 14 days of delivery. Include your order reference number and a brief reason for the return. Our team will respond within 2 working days with return instructions and a returns authorisation number.

Please do not send the artwork back without receiving a returns authorisation first — unauthorised returns may not be processed promptly.

Once we receive your returned artwork and confirm it is in its original condition, we will process your refund within 14 days. The refund is issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take a further 3–7 business days to appear on your statement.

We do not offer direct exchanges, as each artwork is unique. If you wish to acquire a different work, please initiate a return for the original artwork and place a new order for your chosen piece. Your refund will be processed as per our standard policy once the original is received back in good condition.

If you believe the artwork you received differs materially from its listing description — in medium, size, or condition — please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photographs. We take such matters very seriously and will arrange a free return and full refund, including return shipping costs, if our investigation confirms a discrepancy.

Artists & Applications

Visit our Join page, select Artist — Apply to join from the dropdown, and complete the application form. You’ll need to provide your name, email, country, a description of your practice, and a link to your portfolio.

Our curatorial team reviews all applications and responds within 5–7 working days. If shortlisted, you will receive login credentials and an Artist Agreement to review and sign.

We represent artists of South Asian heritage or those whose practice is deeply rooted in South Asian culture, history, or contemporary experience. This includes artists from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, the Maldives, and the South Asian diaspora worldwide.

We look for artists working in original media (painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture) with a distinct and developed visual language. We are medium-agnostic but prioritise quality, originality, and cultural depth.

Our revenue share structure is outlined in your individual Artist Agreement. As a general guide, artists receive the majority of the sale price — we believe strongly in artist-first economics. Our commission covers platform maintenance, marketing, curation, client relations, and logistics coordination.

Payments to artists are made within 30 days of a confirmed sale, subject to the buyer’s return window having passed.

Once approved, you can log in to your Artist Dashboard to add new artworks, edit existing listings, update prices, mark works as sold, and view your sales history and earnings. All new listings are reviewed by our curatorial team before going live — this usually takes 1–2 working days.

If a work listed on Rasa Collective sells through another channel, you must notify us immediately so we can update its status on the platform. Failing to do so — or deliberately selling a listed work off-platform to circumvent our commission — is a breach of your Artist Agreement and may result in removal from the platform.

Yes. We encourage artists to reapply after 6 months, particularly if you have developed new work or your practice has evolved. Our curatorial interests also shift over time, so a work that was not the right fit at one point may be exactly what we are looking for later. We welcome persistence and growth.

We do not require full exclusivity. You are free to work with other galleries and platforms. However, any artwork listed on Rasa Collective must not be simultaneously listed for sale elsewhere at a lower price, and must be removed from our platform promptly if sold through another channel.

Topic 06

Artworks & Authenticity

Yes. Every artwork sold through Rasa Collective is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist. The certificate includes the artwork title, medium, dimensions, year of creation, and the artist’s signature. It is included in the packaging with the artwork.

We photograph all artworks in professional studio conditions to represent them as faithfully as possible. However, colours may appear slightly different due to variations in monitor calibration, ambient lighting, and screen brightness. If you have specific concerns about a colour palette before purchasing, please contact us and we will provide additional photographs or video under different lighting conditions.

Each listing clearly states whether the artwork is framed or unframed. Most original paintings are sold unframed (on canvas or paper) as collectors often prefer to choose their own frame to suit their interior. Where framing is included, it is described in the listing. We can also arrange custom framing on request — please contact us for a quote.

To preserve your artwork in the best condition:

  • Hang away from direct sunlight, which can fade pigments over time
  • Avoid humid environments such as bathrooms or kitchens
  • Do not hang near heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces
  • Dust lightly with a soft, dry brush — never use cleaning products on the surface
  • For works on paper, consider UV-protective glass when framing

If you have specific questions about caring for your particular artwork, we are happy to advise.

Each purchase comes with a certificate of authenticity, your sales invoice (which serves as proof of purchase and provenance), and detailed artwork information (title, medium, dimensions, year). We maintain internal records of all sales which can be referenced for future resale, insurance, or inheritance purposes. Please retain all documents safely.
